Leadership Seminar - Salt Lake - November 19, 2009

This Utah State University, Partners in Business seminar included topics such as developing a culture of leadership, defining and diffusing ethics, and creating an atmosphere of cohesion and teamwork.

Charles Ehin presented "Leadership and Innovation dynamics," explaining why most workers are disengaged from their jobs and what can be done to increase worker engagement and the innovation capabilities of organizations. The talk provides fundamental behavioral and theoretical factors why VNA makes so much "practical" sense.

Verna Allee presented "Activating Value in a World of Networks" - an introduction to how companies from different industries are using VNA to achieve stunning increases in productivity, improve customer support, optimize complex process flows, predict business and workflow performance, and to bring greater coherence from strategy through to operational compliance.

The Annual conference of Healthcare Leaders’ Association of British Columbia will take place October 19-20 in Vancouver. They will be providing leadership strategies, experiences, and thought-provoking concepts to integrate into day-to-day operations and personal growth applications.

Verna Allee will present the keynote on the 20th - "Leading and Inspiring In The Complex World of Healthcare."

Future of Talent 2009 Retreat - October 4-6, 2009

The keynote speaker at this retreat in Pacific Grove, California, was Verna Allee. She explored how the shift from the “job” focus of the industrial age to the role-based networks of real collaboration requires rethinking of staffing and performance management. She triggered a lively discussion by using a ValueNet Map role-play exercise.

Purdue University's Collaboration & Innovation 2009

This conference in West Lafayette, Indiana, September 2009, included Verna Allee as a featured author. Verna is the author of The Future of Knowledge: Increasing Prosperity through Value Networks, numerous articles on value networks, and The Knowledge Evolution.

This conference in Zurich, August 2009, included two sessions featuring Value Network Analysis.

Steve Waddell, founder GAN-Net and Networking Action, presented “Mapping Global Systems: an 8-Step Approach.” Steve and his research team, Global Finance Project, developed an eight-step method for large-scale industry analysis. Judith McCrory was co-presenter.

Judith McCrory, Eurofocus International Consultants, presented “Maturity and Supportability of Regional Innovation Value Networks.” Judith's work is in expanding the analytics for value networks. This is her paper.

Departments @ War – Peacemaking through Value Networks and the Partnership Scorecard

Laurie Lock Lee presented this hands-on session hosted by PricewaterhouseCoopers in Sydney, July 28, 2009. Laurie is a well-known Australian expert in Knowledge Management and one of Australia’s leading practitioners in Social Network Analysis for organisational change.

International Conference on Knowledge, Culture and Change

The keynote speaker at this June 2009 conference in Boston was Verna Allee. Her presentation was “Organizational Challenges of Networks.”

Intellectual Capital for Communities in the Knowledge Economy - IC5

The keynote presentation at this May 2009 conference in Paris was Value Analysis of the Impact of EU R&D Projects: Value Networks and Intellectual Capital Formation.
